Capital City Raqs Festival: March 23 & 24, 2024 Sacramento, CA

Capitol City Raqs is a community-focused festival featuring live and recorded music, performances in a variety of dance styles, a professional dance showcase, and workshops by long-loved California instructors Amy Sigil and Andalee Owens.

Art of the Belly 2024: April 4th - 7th, 2024

Since 2010 they have been bringing all genre's and levels of belly dancers together to experience the warm, friendly and supportive atmosphere that is Art of the Belly - an all inclusive belly dance festival held every Spring in Ocean City, MD.

Cairo ShimmyQuake Festival (@csqbellydance) : June 6th - 9th, 2024

The Cairo ShimmyQuake (CSQ) Belly Dance Festival is an annual international jam fest held every first weekend of June. A lively celebration of workshops, music, and dance, the event features workshops with world-renowned instructors, live bands, drum circles, and open dance sessions.

Hot Raqs: June 28th - 30th, 2024

Started by Andalee & Mike Owens in 2016, Hot Raqs is an event that celebrates the community and offers a supportive and active learning environment for artists and students pursuing MENAHT (Middle Eastern, North African, Helenic, Turkish) music, dance, and cultural education.

We incorporate fundraising for a MENAHT cause into the event. Hot Raqs supports artists from MENAHT cultures, artists of color, artists in the LGBTQ community, and other marginalized communities.
